"Inspired by a deep influence of silence and 8-bit generation consoles, Kirkwood West emerges to evolve the techno genre. In the studio he is busy synthesizing waveforms fusing minimal with classic Detroit vibes sprinkled with lo-fi flavors. He has been writing tracks and performing live for over 12 years, while carefully maintaining a low key image to fully develop the music and that the sounds are close to perfection. Recently, he has been collaborating remotely with his hometown heroes in Los Angeles and San Francisco."

Physical Challenge is a student-run dance night in Champaign-Urbana. Each week the resident djs offer up a fun blend of house and electro to growing crowds. Started in the beginning of 2009, Physical Challenge has grown to be run by three student djs: Famicom, Lucknow, and CZO. Each dj rotates every week with their own style, special guests, and club concept.
