Description

This is the 9th annual 4 square marathon to raise money for talent scholarships. Beginning at 5 pm on Wednesday, April 16, participants will keep at least one 4 square court going through the night, and the next day, and the next night, and...

Anybody can play -- come by anytime and play for a while. Don't know how? It's easy and we'll teach you. Bring a lawn chair, a sofa, or a guitar and hang out. Get your face painted. We also love food donations. We'll have a grill and griddles and work hard to keep people fed.

Mornings are the toughest. Set your alarm and give the tired folks a break at 8, 9, or 10 am.

Last year, the marathon went 62 hours. We encourage people to pledge based on how long you think we'll stick it out (and all donations go to talent scholarships). The pledge form is available online at http://www.daretosuck.com/square/marathon.html

On Friday, April 18 from 5-9, there will be RockSquare - a rock concert in conjunction with 4-square.

In case you're wondering, the record for the longest individual play non-stop is 36 hours, 20 minutes.
