Description

Four Temperaments, current holders of a prestigious Leverhulme Chamber Music Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music join a symposium on The Art of Andrei Tarkovsky, the Russian director.

The quartet and Nina Lejderman, guest soprano, will perform a dramatic French Cantata composed in 1713, based on a Greek myth of Hero and Leander. During the interval complimentary drinks will be provided and there will be chance to talk to the artists and guests of the symposium. Shortly before 8 p.m. Four Temperaments will play one of the vibrant Paris Quartets by Georg Philipp Telemann, a collection of highly stylised dances from French baroque.
