Description

The Prison Library Project doesn't have enough money to print out its Ways and Means Resource List, a compilation of over 400 different service and legal organizations concerned with the unique situation faced by prisoners and those returning to society after being incarcerated. Hundreds of inmates have asked for this invaluable resource and are waiting to receive it -- and they could receive it SOON if you donate your print quota!

The list is only seven pages long, and you can print as many copies as you want to. Here are some handy numbers:

* $1.40 = 10 resource lists!
* $3.50 = 25 resource lists!
* $7 = 50 resource lists!
* $14 = 100 resource lists!

If you are a Pomona student and want to see how much print quota you have left, you can go to: scribe.pomona.edu. (I don't know what the print quota sites for the other schools are -- sorry.)

There are two ways you can donate your print quota, and you can pick whichever one floats your boat.

1) Only if you are a Pomona student:
E-mail me your login name and password, and tell me how many copies of the Resource List you'd like me to print out under your name (or how much money you'd like me to use up). I'll write you an e-mail as soon as I've printed from your account and then figuratively "burn" your password. Most people seem to prefer this option because it means less work for them. It's also easier for us, because after collecting logins and passwords, we can have a wild Print Party and have it all done in one go.

2) All students:
Print the Resource List yourself. Write me an e-mail and I'll attach the Resource List to my response. You can print out as many copies as you want to and drop them off in the blue boxes near the fireplace in the Smith Campus Center. The only VERY IMPORTANT thing to remember is to print double-sided.

Please invite your friends to "attend" this event, too! Ideally, we'll print out over 1000 copies of the Resource List (we managed to do this last semester!) and send them to all of the waiting inmates.

Thanks so much! YAY!
