Description

Witness as the Tibetan Monks of the Drepung Loseling Monastery finish their 4-day tour at MU on October 29.

Join the monks Thursday at Ellis Library at noon for the closing ceremony of their sand mandala painting and receive some of the ceremonial sand used for the painting. Then come to Jesse Auditorium at 7 p.m. to experience the Sacred Music Sacred Dance. The public can also enjoy the closing ceremony for free, but will need to pay a small fee for the Thursday evening, which is $5. Tickets can be picked up on the night of the performance or at the MSA/GPC box office located in the Center for Student Involvement.

The "Sacred Music and Sacred Dance" performance by the Tibetan Monks has been described by the The New York Times has hailed as “remarkable... the music and dance invoke sacred ecstasy…” The event is FREE for MU students!

You don’t want to miss this opportunity to observe the Tibetan Buddhist tradition!
