Following our stormin' gig at '...Escobar' in Wakefield we have been invited back!
Monday 9th November will see Obvious Pseudonym once again getting the party started at an Escobar band night, and we are delighted to say that The Man In Black is fit and well and back in the line-up!
If you've not seen Obvious Pseudonym before this is a great time to do so. Our music ranges from disco to samba, blues to cheese-pop, chillout and classical; we've been accused of robbing styles and ideas from everyone from the Pet Shop Boys to Swing Out Sister touching on Asylum Street Spankers and Genesis; local music legends have afforded us accolades including "entertaining", "fantastic", "twee" and "buy me a pint." In short, you won't have seen anything like it before.
DOORS AT 9PM, WE WILL BE ON STAGE AT 9:15PM. THIS IS AN 18+ GIG.
We are opening on the same bill as bands 'Thief Taker' and 'Amorist', so you definitely get your money's worth!
"Escobar" is on Queen Street in Wakefield, round the side of Argos.
Entry is £3 for tickets on-the-door or you can get them from the band in advance (which is THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED).

- CAP'N B at the back on keys and programming, lovin' them shirts and pushin' them buttons.
- SMINKY HOTSAUCE, sexily fondling his way around lyrics as a hot knife through butter, beware his funky bass.
- MADAME BERNARD, snaking her hips and wiggling her tush as she sings a siren song to tempt sailors to their doom. You might spot her flute.
- THE MAN IN BLACK, fighting fit and ready to strum his way through his first Esco-experience.
