Mark down on your calendars Thursday, Nov. 5, which is when the Kidney Foundation of Canada brings its Brush of Hope Gala fund-raiser to Fredericton after having based it in Ontario for several years. And what an interesting event. A long list of Canadian celebrities have donated original artwork and the public will be able to go to e-Bay on Nov. 5 and bid on each. And what a list of celebrities! Ever wanted an original painting by Randy Bachman, Kurt Browning, Stompin' Tom, Jim Cuddy, or Alex Lifeson? Here's your chance!

There's a lot of New Brunswick talent featured too, including Measha Brueggergosman, Chris Colepaugh, Chris Cummings, Sheree Fitch and Theresa Malenfant. And, oh yes, the public debut of the incredibly talented up and coming Ar-teeste, the one and only Hon. Shawn Graham. Our premier has painted an apple tree ripe with good Liberal red apples, some of which have fallen from the tree, but they haven't fallen too far from the tree!
