Well, the S4S National Leadership Conference is an event that you cannot afford to miss!

Set in picturesque Wollongong the conference will give you the opportunity to explore issues relevant to tertiary students wishing to explore their own leadership journey. There will be a series of high profile guest speakers (TBA), reflection sessions, simulations, workshops, graduate employer displays and of course, plenty of opportunities to network with tertiary students from across Australia.

There will also be an exiting social program, giving all delegates the opportunity to explore the beautiful NSW South Coast.

~Zac Zaharias~

Zac Zaharias is one of Australia’s foremost high altitude mountaineers and leader of Everest expeditions. With two failed Everest attempts behind him, and only 150m from achieving his life long dream of reaching the Everest Summit, he was turned back. How did this leader feel when three of his team reached the summit and he failed? Zac is a regular Corporate motivational speaker and recent presentations include AXA, Cisco, Defence Science and Technology Organisation, ANZ Bank, AMP, Australian Defence Force Academy, Shell, Tenix, Illawarra Technology Corp, Wollongong University and BOC Gases.

~Cheryl Kernot~

As one of the foremost Australian role models for young women, Cheryl Kernot highlighted the contribution made by women climbing the ladder of success. The most popular chief of any Australian political party, she became AD leader after 81% of the full membership elected her in May 1993. She was the party’s representative in a Young Political Leaders’ exchange tour of the U.S.in 1986, and in 1990 she was elected to the Senate on her fourth attempt. In late 1993 Kernot was heavily involved in the successful passage of the historic Native Title (Mabo) legislation, acting as a behind-the-scenes negotiator between the government, the Senate independents, and Aboriginal groups.

~Paul Smith~

Paul Smith is a respected sports psychologist, corporate trainer, public speaker, relationship counsellor and therapist. In the world of sport his individual clients have become world, national and state champions. He has also trained elite groups such as NSW Cricket (senior and junior squads), NSW Netball team (Under 21s Australian champions), NSW Rugby League clubs, Sydney Kings and West Sydney Razorbacks basketball teams, as well as the Sydney Swans.

~Adrian D’Hage~

Adrian D’hage is a man of many talents. Adrian was a platoon commander in Vietnam where is was awarded the Military Cross for his sevice. In 1994 Adrian wazs made a Member of the Order of Australia for his services to communications. His last appointment was the Head of Defence Planning for security of the Sydney 200 Olympics, including defence against chemical, biological and nuclear threats. In October 2000 Adrian left the Army to pursue a writing career, moving to Italy to write his best selling book The Omega Scroll. His latest book ‘The Beijing Conspiracy’ was released in 2007.

~Father Riley~

Father Chris Riley, founder and CEO of Youth Off The Streets, has worked with disadvantaged youth for more than 30 years in a variety of roles including teacher, youth worker, probation officer, residential carer and principal.
As CEO of Youth Off The Streets, Father Riley oversees the operation of 20 programs that employ 150 people and involve more than 800 volunteers.
With less than forty per cent of funding coming from government sources, Youth Off The Streets has become one of the largest youth services in Australia
