Description

Attorney, Grant R. Petersen with Ogletree Deakins Labor and Employment Law Firm will explore the various legal issues that may arise in workplaces due to the H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The workshop will pay particular attention to policies and procedures, HIPPA compliance, identification of potential risks, workplace responsibilities, and implementation of social distancing.

Other topics to be covered include:

· Absenteeism: What to do with employees who are not eligible or have no accrued sick time available?

· How much information do I need to share with my other employees?

· Can I require my employees to get a flu shot?

· Contract employees who will insist on working because they need the pay

· Accommodating needs of employees who are caregivers of those with the flu.

· Liability issues associated with tele-working

· What verbiage should policies use regarding H1N1 (Swine) Flu?

Cost: $20 per person
