A film festival for the undead! Hburgzombiefest 2009 is the Friendly City's chance to get with the New American Zombie Culture and everyone's participation is encouraged. Small groups of amateur film makers are producing short zombie movies covering a range of zombie issues. There is no plan for prizes or awards, just a sharing of artistic endeavors. This will be open to the public, as zombies belong in the public domain (Scalia v. Zombie Inc).

If you have always wanted to make a short zombie movie, and of course you have, this is your chance. There are a lot of makeup and special effect websites out there, or Teale at Glen's Fair Price can help you with simple effective makeup. Keep the story simple, get a few friends, and perhaps some cheap beer, and you are in business. Send an email to Hburgzombiefest so we can keep track of things.

Doors at 7pm. Films at 8pm. Free to everyone. Make-up artists will be on hand to morph you into your favorite zombie!
