Description

Tom Salinsky, Briony Redman and Paul Foxcroft are pretty good at improv. Briony has a wealth of glowing reviews, Tom's written a book on the subject and Paul's just done another non-stop 50-hour-long-show in Canada.

I mention this because on the 23rd of October, they're putting on a show.

On the day that until now has been known for Brutus' defeat on the field at Philippi, the first appearance of the Smurfs, the first meeting of British Parliament and the unofficial American holiday "Mole Day*"; there's a new reason to dress up nice.

And this is improv like they did in the war. Old school, nothing fancy, no gimmicks**.

All we've got is the bare canvas of the stage, three bold improvisers, one kick-ass technician, your suggestions and an hour. Then we slam all of that stuff together at the speed of thought to create the kind of comedy thunder you'd get if Thor did stand up.

Half past nine at the Hen and Chickens in Islington on the 23rd of October. It'll cost you £8.50 including membership, £7.00 to members.

Paul Foxcroft founded The Institute and apparently writes comedy for Canadian Television now.
Briony Redman started with the Improverts and is half of Bronya & Siony.
Tom Salinsky founded The Spontaneity Shop and is half of the authors of The Improv Handbook.
Dan Mossman controls sound and light with will alone. No fake.

*Really. It apparently celebrates the discovery of the Avogadro Constant in chemistry. I'm appalled that we don't do this in the UK.
**Unless you consider not having a gimmick to be a gimmick. Then I guess we have one.
