Double Edge Theatre's Conversations is an ongoing series that engages a diverse community of artists, audiences and presenters for discussions in an intimate, stimulating environment. The program for Fall 2009 includes sessions devoted to a wide array of topics, from an inter-disciplinary discussion on theatre training to an investigation of the cultural ramifications of genocide. Guest speakers and descriptions are below. These Conversations will take place the first three Sundays in November, in conjunction with Double Edge's Garden Cycle performances.

Playwright Erik Ehn’s performance cycle on genocide, politics and art is being developed by six different US theatres. This Conversation explores the role of culture and religion in the formation of genocidal ideology. Led by Erik Ehn, artists Laurie Carlos, Daniel Alexander Jones, Robbie McCauley, Ana Parea, and writer Ilan Stavans. Moderated by Moira Brennan.
