Please note the September date is tentative and the actual date will more likely by on a Monday in October.

The NYC facebook developer garage will present and exciting agenda on the topic “Funding the facebook app with the Funded and the Funders”.

Each presentation has a different story about how they were funded or in one case not funded but purchased after independently developing several facebook apps

The program will start with an introduction by Cat Lee, head of the 10 million dollar facebook Developer Fund.

The fund is funded by Accel and the Founders Fund and we have invited representatives from these two companies to present following the opening presentation


The remainder of the program features facebook developers who have received funding either from individuals, angels and venture capital or companies and/or funders

- Jason Beckerman, CEO of dank apps, funded by Bay Partners app shop program. We have also invited an representative of Bay Partners to discuss their facebook app funding program



- Wade Tinney, founding partner, Large Animal Games

Developed a facebook app app that was funded by a traditional video game publisher.

Jeff Pulver, CEO, jeffpulver.com, Individual facebook investor
invested in facebook app
 "Save an Alien", “Supertagger” and “Sense of Fashion”

- Jennifer Bryne, Verizon, Director, Digital Media
in-house development of several facebook apps at Verizon.

Ilya Nikolayev, FamilyBuilder, Co-Founder and CEO and Andrew Merkatz, Managing Partner, CountryRoad Capital

London's DN Capital has provided $1.5 million in Series A funding to iFamily, The new capital is in addition to a round of undisclosed size from CountryRoad Capital LLC.

- Suleman Ali, Facebook Developer & Investor
Suleman co-founded and ran Esgut, a company that quickly became one of the top players in the space with 25 million installs and 14 million unique users. He sold Esgut to SGN in April 2008. Suleman now consults on all things Facebook and invests in Facebook apps. Suleman writes about Facebook on his blog: http://sulemanali.squarespace.com
