Description

Please join us for a riveting and soulful evening of discussion about the future of the religious left in America as we celebrate the release of Dispatches from the Religious Left: The Future of Faith and Politics in America. This event will be held at Middle Collegiate Church, in the heart of NYC's East Village, and will feature Dispatches contributors Chris Hedges, the best-selling author of I Don't Believe in Atheists, American Fascists and several other books; Rev. Debra Haffner, Director of the Religious Institute on Sexual Morality, Justice and Healing; and the Rev. Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou, Associate Minister for Missions, Social Justice and Community Action at Middle Collegiate Church. Also appearing will be the book's editor, Frederick Clarkson. The event will be moderated by the Rev. Jacqui Lewis, Senior Minister at Middle Collegiate Church, and feature the church's stirring gospel choir.

Don't miss this important opportunity to learn about the emerging religious left, and discover how liberal and progressive religious voices can begin to influence the religious and political direction of this country!
