Description
Join Phi Iota Alpha (Kappa Chapter) along with the Icla Da Silva Foundation and help save someone's life by registering as a Bone Marrow Donor .
Getting on the NMDP Registry requires only a cheek cell sample.
BEING PART OF THE REGISTRY DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL HAVE TO DONATE BONE MARROW!
Some Facts About Donating:
Only 30 to 40% of patients needing a bone marrow transplant have a compatible donor in their family.
Less than 2% of national bone marrow donors are of mixed race and only 25% of nationally registered donors were not Caucasian in 2000.
We will be hosting the drive on two days, so if you can't come on one come on the other.
Monday, Sept 22nd, 10:00am to 4:00pm
