Description
It's goodbye to Dakeyne St for Stand Assembly, and although it won't be the last event we do in the space, we are coinciding Annexinema 4 with the leaving party next Saturday evening.
For the event we are screening John Smith's 'Lost Sound', a collaborative project with sound artist Graeme Miller, made using discarded audiotapes found around London.
Leeds improv classical/jazz/folk collective '7 Hertz' will provide a live score to Cecil M. Hepworth's 'Alice in Wonderland' (1903), and will also play a set after the films.
There'll also be the usual diverse selection of artists' films and videos, including work by (among others) Lou Cohen, Jean Painlevé, Charles & Ray Eames, and Black Dice. Food and drink will be available throughout the evening.
'Lost Sounds' will start promptly at 8pm, as there's plenty in store for the evening ahead, so don't be late and see you there!
