Join us at our headquarters for Women’s Day, a day we are designating to demonstrate the power of the women’s constituency and support for Democrat Linda Stender. Linda Stender has been a long-time advocate for women’s rights. She is unequivocally pro-choice, and has been endorsed by Emily’s List (www.emilyslist.org) early in both her 2006 and 2008 Congressional campaigns. As a woman running for Congress, Linda is relying upon an active and engaged grassroots network of women's right advocates supporting her campaign. It’s been 30 years since New Jersey had a Democratic woman in Congress, and it’s about time we elected another one!

Linda's opponent Leonard Lance was one of only six Senators to oppose the right of women to access contraception. [S1195, Seq. 336, 6/26/06] Planned Parenthood Action Fund noted Lance's record when they endorsed Linda Stender, and added that he should stop calling himself pro-choice.
