NCDOI's SHIIP Division has partnered with the NC DHHS Division on Aging and others for the Relay for Extra Help campaign.
More than 100 seniors and other Medicare recipients will walk around the Hallifax Mall in downtown Raleigh to raise awareness for money-saving programs available to Medicare recipients. They will then relay the message back to their communities and help others apply.
More than 80,000 Medicare recipients in North Carolina may be eligible for federal assistance programs that lower the cost of their Medicare prescription drug plan copays, deductibles and prescriptions, as well as costs associated with Medicare Part A & B.
