Raising money for charity, and doing it while showcasing your skills during the 8-hour jam session, or 8km Longboard skate ; this is exactly what the 8 Hour Skate is all about.

This incredible event will help raise money for YOUCAN, an organization focused on youth-led initiatives in non-violent conflict resolution and violence prevention, both nationally and internationally. Their mission is to equip and inspire others to peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.

On Saturday September 20, participants of all ages will raise pledges while enjoying a day of skateboarding, or carving the 8km course on their longboards. The day will be filled with music, prizes, a charity auction and other exciting activities.

Registration:
Participants can register online at www.8hourskate.com where they will receive a package including map, start times, and pledge forms. Cost per individual is $15 which includes a T-shirt from Top of the World, lunch, some refreshments, a chance to win some great prizes, and a day of stellar skating.
