Description
Family Dinner Night – Autumn Pizzas
The change of season is truly in the air these days and we need to celebrate!
It’s time for another Family Dinner Night cooking workshop!
It feels like it’s been so long since we met in the kitchen to learn how to cook a meal together! This time for FDN we’ll be cooking up all sorts of autumn pizzas. We’ll do some pizza in traditional styles, but since one of the best things about pizza is how well it can be adapted for different ingredients, we’ll also try some creative new recipes.
Let me know if you have a favorite recipe that you’d like to share!
We’ll meet in the kitchen, nibble on some appetizers while we discuss the meal, work together on the cooking, and then sit down enjoy our tasty results. If you can come early to help with the dough it would be great!
At the end of the meal we’ll hear a report from some of the students who went to Terra Madre, and we’ll talk about upcoming projects.
When?
Wednesday, November 12th. Meet at 6:00 to begin the cooking. Appetizers will be served! We’ll sit down to a family-style dinner around 7:30.
Where?
In the Kitchen! Human Ecology Building, Room 78-90, 1300 Linden Dr., UW Campus.
How Much?
Cost is $5 for members and $7 for non-members (student membership can be purchased for $10).
As always, Slow Food UW strives to promote food that is good, clean, and fair. Therefore, as many of our ingredients as possible will come from Madison’s wonderful local small farmers!
Seating is limited, so please make your reservation soon either by email (slowfooduw@gmail.com), on our website (slowfooduw.wordpress.com), or here on our Facebook event page.
See you in the kitchen!
