The 3rd International Rhodes Tourism Forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Dodecanese and ADEPDO (Association for the Development and Progress of the Dodecanese), will be held in Rhodes on the 24th and 25th of October 2008.


The International Tourism Forum in 2008 will provide answers to the challenges of the globalized tourism market with the theme “Managing Change in Tourism Destinations: Strategies & Actions”.
Pointing out the phenomenon of “Change” and analyzing the different aspects and expressions of the latter, this year’s Forum aims at exploring these issues, that represent vital keys to the awakening and adjustment of all the people involved in the tourism industry.


Main issues of the Forum will be: the climate change, the environmental burden in combination with the carry capacity of the tourism destinations and the progress in new technologies (web 2.0). In addition, issues such as changes in holiday lifestyle, company’s social responsibility in hospitality and tourism sector, and emerging markets and tourism industry.


This initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Dodecanese to establish the organisation of the International Tourism Forum in an internationally acclaimed tourism destination, in Rhodes, gradually became to one of the most important scientific and business conferences, which are being held in Greece.


The International Rhodes Tourism Forum, is a gate of dialogue, opinion exchange and collaboration between academic, political and tourism stakeholders and will take place on the 24th and 25th of October 2008, in Rhodes.
