His book Godless received rave reviews and has 5 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com.
As a part of his book tour, Barker will be appearing in Davis to discuss Godless, and to talk about his experience as a former evangelical pastor turned atheist.
He has been the co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation (www.ffrf.org) since 2004, which works to promote and protect the separation of church and state.
Barker's appearance at Davis is a subject of interest for atheists and theists alike. He encourages questions and is going to do a long question and answer session, so if you have something to say or ask about Barker, his life, or his work, come to the speech!
