Memphis Farmers Market opens Saturday April 18th 2009 for our 4th season!
Come on down and help us open the 2009 season with a bang! We look forward to continuing our mission to serve as a community-gathering place where local farmers, producers and artisans can offer fresh agricultural and related products.
In 2008, 50,000 patrons visited the market to buy fresh local produce, listen to live music, watch chef, vendor demos and dance troups, adopt pets, bring the kids for fun activities, learn about good health & nutrition, enjoy coffee and snacks, and generally have a fun time at the farmers market. Have you visited a farmers market lately? Well, it's time again this Saturday, starting at 7am!
This year, we'll have 70 vendors to shop, selling our widest variety of product ever, including just-butchered grass-fed beef, free-range chickens, heirloom tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, honey, fresh baked bread, fully prepared meals and much, much more!

Opening Ceremonies:
Come early for the Raising of the Flags and Dimples the Clown. Join us for a celebration to kick-off our 4th market season!
Products This Week
We will have baked goods galore. Neola Farms Black Angus Beef, Barnes Farm raised pork and certified organic meats of all kinds from West Wind Farms. Bonnie Blue will be there with the best goat cheese in Tennessee and Cucina will have delicious artisan breads.
Hungry yet... just wait to get your hands on the cool weather crops like the freshest baby lettuce you have ever had (at least since last season) and strawberries that smell as great as they taste.
Yes, and Saturday night, put them all together for a meal that will be a true celebration of the start of the Memphis Farmers Market season and all things that are right in the world.

The Memphis Farmers Market is a weekly non-profit outdoor market featuring local farmers and artisans. The market showcases locally sourced produce and food items and locally produced arts and crafts from the Mid-South region and also serves to educate the community about eating local, nutrition and food choices. Enjoy live music and weekly themed events and programs. Visit us every Saturday 7a.m. to 1 p.m. mid-April thru October. Free admission and parking. Pet sitting available.
