The Miami Valley District in partnership with the West Ohio Conference is offering the Web-Empowered Church (WEC) Workshop Saturday, March 7, 2009, 9am-3pm at Stillwater UMC, 6911 Frederick Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45414.
The workshop, led by WEC creator Mark Stephenson, will include learning about creating a web ministry with a hands-on opportunity to build web pages. Bring a laptop if available although it is not necessary in order to participate. Informational Brochure
Web-Empowered Church (WEC) provides a starter package that quickly engages the user with a full-featured ministry website. The software is a free-to-use content management software based on Typo3 CMS, and allows user access and control over style, pages and content. WEC has created pre-built pages which can be used and adapted to your church immediately, including Devotional Journal, Discussion Forum, eBible, Flash Player, Flash Presentation, Map, Prayer Connector, Servant Matcher, Sermons Management System and Staff Directory.
