I've been told that when my older brother was really small, like 5 or something, he was almost pissing himself with excitement for months about this Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show concert coming to our small east coast town.
(You're probably asking yourself, 'who the eff is that?" See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Hook_&_The_Medicine_Show). Yeah, weird.
Anyway, so, my parents bought tickets in advance, got him this eye patch to wear and all that shit, and then they took him to the show and - guess what - the little guy falls asleep all the way through it, while my parents have to sit through this bizzarro rock show.
He was really sad when he found out that he dozed through it.
But, I mean, what the fuck? right? How could you sleep through a rock show? What's his excuse?

Yeah - so, PARLOVR is launching their debut, self-titled album as part of Pop Montreal by headlining a show at Zoobizarre on October 2nd. Apparently, a quite a few people have been waiting to buy it. Well, it'll be available, then. It's a real catch. You can listen to a couple songs on this here Facebook fan page and a few more at myspace.com/parlourmontreal
This will be PARLOVR's first local show in a few months, too.

Additionally, some very special secret guests will be playing. All we know is that it contains members of Young Galaxy, some crazy awesome jazz guitarist/cum/composer, a member of a band who plays with another band with members from Arcade Fire and some guy with a pirate leg and patch over his eye.

The cost is a very reasonable $6 at the door or $12 with PARLOVR's LP (a whopping 11+ songs).
