“LA FONDA ON WILSHIRE GOES GREEN
FOR ST. PATRICK’S DAY”
A Los Angeles tradition, La Fonda on Wilshire restaurant, will celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday March 17, 2009 by truly Going Green. La Fonda has served its traditional Mexican cuisine along with amazing Mariachi performances since 1969. This St. Patrick’s Day, the luck of the Irish will fuse with the passion of this Mexican tradition that is native to Los Angeles.

La Fonda has teamed with The Forestry Division of the Los Angeles County Fire Department to provide a Green message for those celebrating St. Patrick’s Day; the first 100 people to join the fun will receive a free tree seedling.

For that Day, Chef Martin Garcia is creating a very Green menu consisting of Green Quesadillas, Green Nachos, Green Guacamole, Green Beef Taquitos, Green Jalapeño Poppers, Green Queso Fundido and Green Flan. A special Lucky Green Day Margarita and other Green drinks will also be served. The famed Mariachi Monumental de America, la Fonda’s featured group, will perform two shows for this special occasion.
