Description
The program is unique in the sense that besides giving out food and providing humanitarian aids to homeless people and urban poor, we also encourage our volunteers to have a conversation and make friends with these people.
These are the streets/ spots where we distribute food packs and chat with our "street friends":
1. Vicinity of Dayabumi building (Pejabat Pos Besar K. Lumpur)
2. Along Jalan Pudu Lama (behind Menara Maybank)
3. The vicinity of Menara Maybank & Puduraya bus station
4. Along Jalan Sultan (near Petaling Street)
5. Vicinity of Pasar Seni LRT Station
6. Bangkok Bank (near Pasar Seni/ Central Market) and its vicinity
1901 Food for the Homeless is not a religiously or politically-charged program. We help anybody who needs help, regardless of skin color, religion and nationality, and accept everyone to become our volunteers. So, if it happens you are around these places when we distribute food, feel free to join us.
Look for a group of people carrying a small plastic bag containing food. They wear tag, as shown on the Event picture and most of them wear black t-shirt emblazoned with "LOVE, PEACE, HARMONY".
To join, introduce yourself to any of them and they’d be glad to welcome you into the group. Our volunteers are friendly people!
