Description
Where does your coffee come from? Find out!
Wednesday February 4, 7pm
Green Line on Locust | 4426 Locust Street, West Philly
In November of 2008, Green Line co-owner Dan Thut traveled with a delegation of Philly's best independent fair trade coffeehouses to the remote San Fernando community high in the Andes Mountains of Peru. There he met and stayed with farmers who grow the high quality organic and fairly traded coffee we serve at the Green Line.
Come and learn about life in a rural coffee growing community, the impact of Fair Trade buying practices, and Green Line's commitment to building personal relationships with the people we depend on for our daily cup of coffee.
Also featuring presentations from Jill Fink (Mugshots), Meg Hagele (High Point Cafe), and LJ Taylor (Equal Exchange), and a special photo exhibit from the trip by Philly photographer Jessica Notargiacomo.
Our CD "Songs on the Green Line"--a benefit for Cooperativa San Fernando will be on sale, too. Buy one for $5 and get a free coffee!
Hope to see you!
