Our last meetup was reasonably successful, but we spent most of our time discussing copyright law and bill C-61 itself, and didn't get much of a chance to talk about the next steps for Fair Copyright for Canada here in Winnipeg.

It was decided that the next step would be to have a meeting to talk about strategy for building public awareness of the problems with Bill C-61 and a campaign for fair copyright law. This is that meeting.

MEETING GOALS:
The goals of the meeting will be to discuss and develop a plan to raise public awareness of fair copyright and the problems with C-61, as well as to campaign to government on the same issues. At the end of the meeting, we should have a rough plan in place, as well as people assigned to be responsible for the various aspects of the plan.
