Who: Farmer Eva Worden of Worden Farm and Chef Kristina San Fillippo of Robb & Stucky Kitchenaid Culinary Center
Cost: $10 for Slow Food and Worden Farm members; $15, non-members. (Slow Food Southwest Florida, a not-for-profit organization, will receive 20 percent of the proceeds.)

Details: This is a rare opportunity to learn the art of preserving food from the experts. Chef Kristina San Filippo Robb & Stucky KitchenAid Culinary Center will demonstrate techniques such as canning, pickling and freezing as well as recipes for a host of preserved foods made from fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Learn to make gifts that will impress family and friends, enjoy convenient meals made from top ingredients, save extra produce for later, keep a healthy supply of food for hurricane season and have fun learning the basics of preserving. The event takes place at the certified organic farm of farmer and Slow Food Southwest Florida board member Eva Worden.
