Description

Come see a replica of Lincoln's coffin, with an honor guard of the 21st Michigan Infantry reenactors. Also:

10 a.m. hear Museum Executive Director Liz Kerstens' talk "Victorian Mourning Rituals"

Noon--Senator Jacob Howard (portrayed by Museum volunteer Dave Tennies) will give abbreviated version of speech he gave in Campus Martius after Lincoln died on April 15, 1865.

2:30 p.m.--hear Jeff Bell's talk "Burying Lincoln." Jeff is the Plymouth Historical Society treasurer and a funeral director at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth. Schrader-Howell sponsored the loan of the replica Lincoln coffin.

No tickets necessary. Normal admission price charged.
$5 Individuals; $2 Students 6-17; $10 Families

Parking available behind Plymouth District Library across the street.
