Description
In His Shoes will honor Gabriel Stauring of StopGenocideNow.org as the 2008 Person of the Year. We wish to recognize him for the work he has done with the Darfuri Refugees, but even more, the intent of the evening is to draw attention and focus on the continuing Genocide in Darfur. Gabriel has just returned from the Chad/Darfur border and on September 5 he and his team will share their firsthand account with us.
The evening will begin with an outdoor reception on the Barnsdall Gallery Lawn followed by art work unveiling from last year’s 7x77 project by renowned artist Gregory Beylerian and new musical selections by Gor Mkhitarian from his upcoming spiritual album. Fr. Vazken will present the Person of the Year.
