This event happens in conjunction with the North American Taiko Conference.
Hold on to your seats! The strong, thunderous sounds of taiko might blow you away! Taiko literally means "big drum" and uses the combination of music and movement to create an unforgettable experience. Today, as a symbolic art form of Japanese-American culture, taiko can be seen and heard in major motion pictures, nationwide commercials, and various theatrical productions. The intensity of Kishin Daiko, the dynamic energy of Las Vegas Kaminari Taiko, the rhythmic creativity of On Ensemble, and the visually stimulating Portland Taiko will be performing at Taiko Jam this summer.
