Description
MEDFED
A FILM & FASHION PROJECT
We recently undertook some deep research into our new film and fashion project MEDFED and are looking for similar minded people to collaborate with us.
Said research consisted of a fictional email dialogue between 2 deceased women – Sylvia Plath and Isabella Blow – who had depression and took their own lives and worked in fashion.
A conversation was set up between the ladies via fake email addresses and claimed that something was needed to reduce stigma and open minds within the fashion industry and hopefully other industries might latch onto the “trend”.
We were pleasantly surprised when an interested journalist responded and expressed in many, many thoughtful words his opinions on mental health in the industry and how he thinks the topic is at the cutting edge right now. He writes for The New York Times and many others.
It would be great if others on psychiatric medication for their mental health could collaborate on making MEDFED happen this London Fashion Week.
So grab your sequins, shimmering studs and psychiatric medication and join up.
We need designs, ideas, suggestions, YOUR ideas to help make this collection happen.
It's your chance to be heard.
