Description

The Rocky Horror Show
Summer Program

We didn't think it was possible...
but we got the rights for Richard O’Brien’s THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW for this year's Summer Program! We have decided to postpone The Great American Trailer Park Musical in order to do this amazing and very popular show.

Toronto Youth Theatre’s five-week summer program, for youth ages 13 to 19, combines the very best in theatre training with in-depth rehearsals and a five-day full production. Mornings will include intensive classes with some of Toronto's best professional artists, including classes in acting, voice, dance, movement, stage combat, and improvisation. Afternoons will focus on rehearsals for the final production of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW.

The Toronto Youth Theatre’s Artistic Director Jeremy Hutton will direct The Rocky Horror Show. Jeremy Hutton has worked on more than ten productions with youth over the past five years. He is a professional actor, director and composer, most recently directing the acclaimed Arcadia at the Hart House Theatre. Ashleigh Powell, the choreographer and dance teacher for the summer program, is a member of the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Ms. Powell is an accomplished dancer, teacher and choreographer in her final year in the Teacher's Training program at Canada’s National Ballet School.

Do you want to spend the summer with Frank-N-Furter? Do the Time Warp? Hang out with Brad, Janet, Magenta and Riff Raff? Auditions are currently being held. Please contact us at info@torontoyoutheatre.org or at 416-915-6747 ext 221 for more information.
