Description

JHSUM is again offering our architectural tour of the North Side neighborhood in partnership with the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission and the Minneapolis Department of Planning and Economic Development. Our tour leader is Bob Roscoe, principle of Design for Preservation and former head of the Minnesota Heritage Preservation Commission. Bob currently leads restoration efforts of the Virginia, Minnesota, B’Nai Abraham Synagogue .

The walk covers a number of historic buildings, including the former Mikro Kodesh, Tifereth B’nai Jacob and Shaari Zedek synagogues, as well as the former Jewish Sheltering Home and Emanuel Cohen Center.

Meet in front of Mikro Kodesh at 1000 Oliver North on Sunday, July 26th at 3 PM. Tour runs until 4:30. Free to all and no reservations required.
