Oneglove.ca invites Canadians to celebrate the life and times of Michael Jackson for free!

Toronto – Monday July 6, 2009 -- Thousands are expected as the Steam Whistle Brewery in downtown Toronto opens its doors to those in mourning at the sudden passing of the King of Pop. Known as the “Roundhouse”, the Steam Whistle Brewery management has responded to the wave of grief which has swept the international community and joined in the celebration of a unique life. In partnership with http://www.oneglove.ca, the Steam Whistle Brewery will be hosting young and old alike to show their appreciation for the life and times of Michael Joseph Jackson. As Toronto struggles with a public service strike and a struggling economy, http://www.oneglove.ca thought it would be appropriate that this event be free for all.

Interest in the memorial service being held at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles has overwhelmed circuits and set anxious fans into a frenzy. The venue which is owned by AEG Live, the organizers of Jackson's comeback gigs at London's O2 arena, has a seating capacity of 20,000 and is expected to be standing room only. Another 6,500 tickets will be given away for the Nokia Theatre overflow section next door. Many Canadians have attempted to acquire these coveted tickets to no avail.

Luckily, there is a less hectic option for those who wish to share in this experience north of the border. In order for patrons to gain access to this impromptu memorial, http://www.oneglove.ca has made it mandatory for all guests wear one white glove as well as provide two non-perishable food items which will be donated to Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank. Guests will be taking in live streaming cable news coverage of the events in Los Angeles as well as participating in karaoke of popular Michael Jackson songs. The event will run from 11am until 4pm at the Roundhouse – 255 Bremner Road.

Steam Whistle Brewery

The Roundhouse had functioned as a Canadian Pacific Rail steam locomotive repair facility when built in 1929 servicing steam locomotives that helped pioneer this nation. The "John St. Polish" was a term for the renowned gleam of the mighty engines that rolled out from here. There's a taste of Canadian history in every bottle we fill - a reflection of the hard work and pride within.
