In honor of National AmeriCorps Week, Volunteer West Virginia and its AmeriCorps West Virginia and West Virginia Citizen Corps programs will be hosting a fun-filled family night at the ball park! Join us for Volunteer Day: Everybody Can Serve!
Planned activities include:
An appearance by the reigning Mrs. West Virginia, Misty McMinn
Volunteerism public service announcements on the jumbo screen
An AmeriCorps member singing the National Anthem
A special area for organizations involved in disaster preparedness, response or recovery
A coloring contest for children that focuses on emergency preparedness for people with special needs
Preparedness trivia
Door prizes
Informational scavenger hunt for teens
Free t-shirts for the first 1,000 people to arrive
$1 tickets, drinks and hot dogs
