Lim, 17, plays Nee with such aplomb and zest that she’s a joy to watch. And as Ah Shan, Wong lights up the scenes while Sams plays the subdued Lin effectively. Denise Yap stands out as the antagonist Saw Bee Chee, who’s out to make Nee’s life a living hell, while Tria Aziz gives a superb performance as Mejar Sabar. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments as de Silva’s witty lines are delivered with perfect comic timing...
Kudos to Joe Hasham and Faridah Merican for bringing such a project to fruition. But the true blue heroes are the young stars who spiritedly take the ball and run it all the way home. Forget High School Musical. Kaki Blue is one posthigh- school musical worth watching!"

Both Miaw Fen and Edmund give commendable performances as first-timers. The audience feel their pain and root for them from beginning to end. Denise also shines as the antagonist Bee Chee, a Malaysian version of High School Musical’s Sharpay...Tria is excellent as Major Sabar, a character light years from her 'Datin glamour' roles in Broadway Parodies Lagi Lah! and Instant Cafe Theatre’s Kurang Manis last year"

The 3 get over imaginative and start conjuring images of deadly flying foxes and scary men in uniforms...Will their wildest fantasies of the elusive camp and its equally colourful camp trainers be a reality, and will their lives really be the same after the stint in those blue khakis?
Follow the three as they leave their blue and whites to don their newuniforms as wira & wira watis in the new camp under the guidance of theno-nonsense Major Sabar.
Kaki Blue is a bold story about the courage and spirit of today's youth. It is about the many uniforms and roles we put on, and shed, as wegrow up in this country. Join the youngsters as they sing and dance to the tunes of yesteryear, to finally emerge the heroes that they are.
