"New York City's Drag March (the little march that could, bitch...) began 15 years ago in response to the attempts of the Stonewall 25 organizing group's attempts to downplay Drag. It has continued to this day each year on the Friday before Pride Sunday!
The March starts at Tompkins Square Park in the East Village, gathering at 7PM at the Saint Mark's Place/8th street entrance to the park, stepping off just before sunset, ending in the West Village in front of the Stonewall Inn Bar."
