The Crookes Christmas Show
- Sunday, December 13, 2009
- 7:30pm until 12:00am
- The Shakespear
e, Gibraltar Street, Sheffield, United Kingdom - The Crookes are playing The Shakespeare on 13th December to celebrate the festive season. It is the final Sheffield gig of the year and we'd love you all to come along.
This gig also starts the '12 Days of Crookesmas', which isn't an egocentric alteration of the world's... most celebrated event, but in fact a cheesy pun that sees the band release twelve different tracks or videos, one for each of the twelve days of Christmas. For more information go to www.12daysofcrookesmas.com from December onwards (expect some surprises!)
Its £3.50 advance (from The Shakespeare or the band) or £4 on the door, and doors open from 7.30ish.
Any Christmas outfits or knitwear would be highly endorsed and encouraged by the band.
Also playing on the night, we have our friends Silent Film Project. As we're no good at describing other bands, we'll let these people do it for us...
"This is music for good days and Belle & Sebastian fans". Sandman.
"A janglesome boy/girl indie pop malarkey that put me charmingly in mind of The Holloways". Mark Beaumont, NME.
Hopefully, we will be able to invite a few more friends up on stage with us during the course of the evening. All will be revealed on the nightSee More
