We reference a previous edition of the hard copy of Facts and Comparisons that's available at work. The mobile version is easy to upload and is organized in a way that is very manageable to use...and plus, you know that you have the current info you need because it's updated. It'd be an extremely useful resource to have while on rotations.

The company I work for uses Facts & Comparison as its primary online source for drug information. I use it everyday and I couldn't be happier with the applications (from the pill identifier to drug-drug interactions). I even study on the site using the drug classification/description categorized by disease state. Thanks F&C.

I use the PDA skyscape version of Facts & Comparisons products, and all the programs were easy to upload and easy to use. If you have PDA or PDA phone that is windows based, then you can purchase Facts & Comparisons through skyscape!

I tried the mobile version of Drug Facts & Comparisons on my Palm OS.

There are a lot of great things about this program:

1) The organization. When you enter a specific drug a little side bar appears. You simply have to tap what you want to see. One quick tap can get you to dosing, drug interactions, etc.

2) I love the detailed mechanisms of actions associated with each drug. Some other programs I've used really skimp with the mechanisms of actions for some reason.

3) Patient information. There is a really cool section that gives you a summary of important patient counseling topics.

4) Lab test interference section. On rounds I sometimes noticed discussion about lab test interference of certain drugs. It's great that I finally have a reference for it!

Overall this is a really great tool. You get detailed information you don't receive in other drug programs.

I'm sad I only have the trial version. Most drugs are locked and can only be seen the full version is purchased.

This product is very comprehensive, containing information on thousands of drugs grouped by disease state. This is a very useful product for getting all options for a patient with a specific disease state. In addition, it allows you to compare drugs across the same class as well as different dosage forms of the same drug and brand vs. generic. The appendix (of the book version) is a fantastic resource (especially for pharmacy students) as it contains calculations, standard abbreviations, normal lab values, pregnancy categories, treatment guidelines, etc. The online version seems like it would be even better as it will be more up to date since they will be updating it continuously.
