Does anyone know when they expect the target population to include healthy adults?

Not complaining, just wondering.

Please watch your speed if you drive in the Clifton area. There are so many deer along the roads. People drive way over the speed limit.

Mally and Michelle: The CDC recommends children through 9 years of age receive 2 doses of H1N1 vaccine, separated by at least 28 days. In coming weeks, we anticipate that more vaccine will be available through health care providers, pharmacies, big box stores, and the Health Department. You can get the second dose for your children wherever you ... Read Morechoose. H1N1 clinics will continue at the Health Department's 5 district offices as long as necessary. You can bring children there during the week to get the second dose, or choose another vaccination site. If quantities of vaccine permit, we will hold additional mass vaccination clinics on Saturdays.

Why is President Obama silent? Each week, more people die in VA/DC/MD as a result of no vaccine being readily available. Demand the vaccine! Hold President Obama and the government accountable.

Andrea: The Health Department does now have a small amount of single-dose flu shots which the CDC considers "preservative free." Technically, these doses contain trace amounts of theimerosal (less than 1 microgram.) The H1N1 vaccine is safe and effective.

In 2001 Thimerosal was removed from all childhood vaccines...for a reason. Please pressure the CDC to pressure the manufacturers for the Thimerosol free version of the H1N1 vaccine. There is a demand. Thanks for eveything you're doing. You've been great and we feel lucky to live in Fairfax.

Was there at 10:30 when there was a wait (about 45 min), and they were great at moving through a huge number of people. It was the longest line I've ever been in in my life (including Disney World) but they were well prepared, friendly, and professional. Everyone knew exactly what to do, always had relevant information, and did a great job ... Read Morekeeping the line moving.

When I got to our station though, the person doing our shots took FOREVER preparing and seemed to deliberately take her time asking questions as slowly as possible (and still got wrong which shot one of them was suppose to get), despite two children having meltdowns in fear of the shots. I had a hard time holding the kids down while the person took as long as humanly possible to fumble the prep and then have to break out another vaccine to try again (TWICE - one for each child). This person seemed to be the exception rather than the rule, but it was still VERY frustrating.

On a happier note, the H1N1 facebook updates were also great at keeping people updated. Fairfax County overall is one of the best run county governments I've ever encountered, and days like today make you really appreciate it.
