Family Tree University Do you miss your old locker at school? Were you always forgetting the combination? Don't fret, because you'll have a locker once again (no padlock needed) when you take an FTU course.

Never forgot my combination, had a padlock, but I would occasionally forget my key at home. :-)

Jackie I have a question regarding the classes, are they going to be free or have a specific price for each or what? Just curious.

This sounds like a great opportunity, but I agree with Jackie above, it's a little too pricey. :/

Yikes that is way to much for a class that doesn't give you an official accreditation. I think you need to lower the cost or you will have very few people able to "attend." In my experience most people who are doing genealogy are retired or stay at home. Something to consider before you officially open. Also for the record I pay about $200 a class for 16 weeks at my community college. So if you use that logic a class should be no more than $50.

Where can we see the artwork for the mascot? I looked at the poll page and see the list but did not see any artwork. Are we voting on just the name?

Right now, we're just choosing the name. Once the mascot is chosen, we'll get an illustration to go with it.

Dan Hoffman I want to develop well documented genealogy according to standard rules. But I am confused about how to go about this by all of the online stuff I am using. I need well-developed sourcing skills. Sometimes now I just don't source a statement because I don't know exactly how . . . . . Help!

Docmentation will surely be an important topic in many of our classes. In the meantime, be sure to check out FTM's article on citing online sources in the Dec 09 issue. Elizabeth Shown Mills' "Quicksheet" for source documentation is also an excellent resource.
