Neither knew what the Weirdo did with his captives, but it was hard to think of a possibility that wasn’t horrible. Not when you saw that figure, with its thatched gray hair, lumpy shoulders and white ...

Juan: The more you play of it, the better it gets. It's not bad in the early levels. It is fantastic later on in the game when you're rolling up bigger and bigger stuff.

Like whales and sports arenas. It's a strange game. And yet, I can't stop playing it.

I love that film so much! Tim Curry rocked, Billy Barty rocked, all the characters were wonderful. I saw it when it were in theaters and own it now. Tom Cruse has stated that he hates his association with the film. I am not found of Tom Cruse and "Legend" tis the ONLY film I will watch him in.

New fiction by Su-Yee Lin, "In Dreams Tangible".

There are ships with flying sails in the corners of her mind. There are men in disguise, women dressed as men, pirates pretending to be dandies. She wonders about black holes and time travel, about parallel universes and big friendly giants. She thinks that snozzcumbers w...ould taste terrible but longs to try them anyway. One should always keep one’s mind open. Open enough to catch every stray thought shooting out around them.Read More

Prem sucked in just enough air to mumble curses as he exhaled. Every day it was harder and harder to force his tired old body up the stairs. He was grateful for the cool breeze when he finally reached the roof. Orange light from the setting sun spilled through the railing, casting sideways shadows l...

Fantasy Magazine Jaym Gates reflects on Michael Dougherty's Browncoats: Redemption

Source: www.darkfantasy.org
Michael Dougherty, director of Browncoats: Redemption, had more than a few scares during the filming for his charity project. Seeing Mal Reynolds’ resin pistol lying on the ground—in three pieces—and his lead star lying on the ground next to it, holding her head, is one that is often trotted out at ...

Fantasy Magazine Interview with James Maxey, author of the Dragon Age series

Source: www.darkfantasy.org
I must admit to being a nerd. One of the most fateful moments in my life, which I remember with crystal clarity, came when I was sixteen and a friend asked me if I’d ever heard of a game called Dungeons and Dragons. Soon I had the boxed set in my hands, and there was never any doubt that it was the ...

Source: www.darkfantasy.org
I have to default to one of Elmore Leonard’s ten rules for writing: “Try to leave out the part the readers tend to skip.” If I revise and it bores me, then it better leave the draft. That darling’s going to have to be killed. Now, Leonard’s advice in and of itself had nothing to do with the exper...

With Alison Blake going on six week maternity leave, “Have an Ice Day” features Tess on her first day as interim boss of Global Dynamics. Tess is waiting on a delivery of the longest ice core ever recovered, drilled out of the arctic sheet. Given the title of the episode, this can’t end well. Hmm…th...
