What good are all the available plans if the local physicians only honor one plan. My doctors never heard of most of the plans available.

Can anyone tell me if GEHA Family Standard is a good Health plan from any experience they've had?

I did not like it. Every time I would go to the doctor they would count my payment toward my deductible. It was like I was paying for insurance, then I would have to pay for doctors visits too. And it better be a doctor you see not a nurse praticioner because I had to pay on time because a NP saw me, not a doctor. They said they only pay doctors fees. Once I got sick in CA i work in TN, I got stuck with that bill too. I was told I was out of network.

Federal Benefits Open Season Did you know you can use your FEHB, FEDVIP, and FSAFEDS together to maximize your benefits?

1. Pick the FEHB plan that’s right for you and your family;
2. Consider a FEDVIP plan to cover any needed gaps in your dental or vision coverage;
3. Use an FSAFEDS flexible spending account to pickup any expenses not covered by your FEHB or FEDVIP plan.

Thanks, when I was comparing the two plans they seemed pretty much equal. I called all my wifes and my doctors and they all accept NALC so I think I may take the plunge to switch.
