Juan F Morales I saw the Friday night performance and was very disappointed! I thought Kaduce was very good in both performances and Pfortmiller as Silvio was incredible, but Hunter-Morris was a very weak sounding Canio and Nioradze as the Zia Principessa was not very imposing. My question is did the director of Suor Angelica read ...the libretto or listen to the music at least? What was he thinking when he chose to portray Angelica's child as being alive and the aunt as a liar. The whole point of the suicide was for Angelica to be reunited with her child in heaven. By having the aunt bring the child back to Angelica as she is dying only make her suicide a cruel joke, not to mention that the music does not follow this line of thinking. What a shame!

Evelyn I was very happy and impressed with opening night's performances....FGO looks strong and vibrant again...kudos. Dinner at Barton G restaurant at the Arscht Center was also a nice finishing touch to a great opera evening....
