350 is one of the most important social movements of our time. Here at Findhorn we have been supporting this through many consciousness raising activities and gatherings throughout the year. The most recent was on the 24th of October, for the International Day of Climate Action.

The Findhorn Foundation OK, so I have created yet another version of our Gallery page, taking in the comments and suggestions from everybody. Tell me what you think! Make sure you listen to the music in the box in the top right-hand corner. It's by Findhorn resident Alexander Campbell, who is an incredibly talented young musician. Enjoy!

As promised, a selection of photos from my retreat last week on the Sacred Isle of Iona. It was a wonderful week, truly blessed with great company, wonderful views and lovely weather, at least some of the time, and when it was stormy, the retreat house of Triagh Bhan stayed warm and cozy, the perfect place to relax and... be.
I chose the best pics that Shirley and I took there, but I have also added some in by Graham Meltzer from when he came out a year or so back, because he's an amazing photographer and his stuff always blows me away.
You can find out more about Iona here:

And Erraid, too:

A fantastic film maker, Faith, came to Findhorn recently and made us a part of her project called The Journey, check out the short video on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php? v=1053101868316&ref=mf
Started in 1962, The Park is a 30-acre site that was once a caravan park (part of it still is!) but now is the hub of a growing ecovillage and spiritual community. The Park is a work in progress, as each year more caravans are replaced with ecologically sound alternatives, from yurts, to eco-mobile homes, to state of t...he art projects such as straw bale housing. There are approximtately 300 residents living on The Park, with up to 100 more people visiting at any time. The environment reflects experimentation, innovation, beauty and practicality, and looks as diverse as the population that inhabits it. There are 90 ecological structures including houses, workshop spaces, The Living Machine sewage treatment centre and electricity-generating wind turbines. The Park also features gardens, the Universal Hall arts centre and is home to a variety of holistic businesses and initiaives. It is beautifully situated on a peninsula with Findhorn Bay on one side and the dunes and coast of the Moray Firth on the other, and the village of Findhorn at its tip. The community at The Park is an ongoing experiment in conscious living. The community are host to many Findhorn Foundation workshops and events, providing a unique environment for experiential learning. www.findhorn.org FoundationThe ParkFindhornIV36 3TZ ++44 (0)1309 690311 OTHER POINTS OF INTEREST Global Eco-Village Network www.gen-europe.org The Guide to communal Living in Britain www.diggersanddreamers.org.u This short film is part of "The Journey" an unique documentary project that delves into environmental, socio-culture and economic issues, with a questioning mind. The focus of the project is to find and film inspiring ideas and projects over a wide spectrum of individuals and cultures, whilst examining our ability to reform our ideals, and our lifestyle in order to make positive changes for our planet and the human race. The “Journeymen” (a person whom travels in order to gain experience, skills and knowledge) go in search of these stories - equipped only with minimal filming gear and personal possessions, they document their experience as they travel to global communities to observe, question and learn. It is an organic process that grows, evolves and takes it’s own direction. With no planned route nor destination, the journeymen believe they will connect with the right people and places at the right time to film, aid and guide them on. The project is currently filming and traveling through the UK. As the project travels short films are uploaded that can be viewed on this website. It is the long-term goal that this project will travel internationally to create a feature length film that will be released, to be viewed for free. The projects aims to benefit individuals, projects and communities by sharing knowledge, offering solutions and connecting people through film. It is the hope this project will touch and inspire people, by conveying the beauty within human nature and our world and resonating what is actually possible, when it comes it comes to our ability to change the world for the better. know of an inspiring story? want to get involved? info@the-journey.tvRead More

The Findhorn Foundation So earlier this year it was all about the bees, now the beautiful butterfly has taken the most bountifully abundant pollinator crown. These gorgeous beings have taken the original garden over and are kindly lending their bright colours to the fading blooms of our summer.

Ask and thou shalt recieve! Jane wanted pics of Cluny so I rounded up some of the best I could find.
Cluny Hill College is our other campus, A 100 room former Victorian Spa set about 5 miles away from Findhorn, nestled in the forests of Cluny Hill.
Peter, Eileen and Dorothy worked there managing it as a hotel in the 195...0's before they ever came to Findhorn. Years later in 1976, the Findhorn Foundation purchased it from the hotel chain that owned it for the low price of £60,000 (about £750,000 in today's currency I believe). However it was in an awful condition, so the community got involved and fixed it all up. It is now a very beautiful and inspiring place that is many people's first experience of Findhorn as it is the perfect home for many of our guest programmes.
For more of Cluny Hill check out the Cluny Garden fan page at:

I can't take credit for any of these shots. They were taken by Cluny Garden Focaliser Sverre Koxvold, in house architect Graham Meltzer and local photographer Adriana Sjan Bijman. Hope you enjoy!Read More

We all try to reason our way through illness and crisis, but it’s just not possible and this is one of the truths that inspired Caroline to write her new book, Defy Gravity. This workshop is based on the information from Caroline’s upcoming book which focuses on helping people to heal and get through the turning point ...crises in their lives by drawing upon mystical wisdom, common sense, and universal truths.
It’s taken years for Caroline to collect her research on the subject of healing, as she views healing from the mystical point of view as “an act to be experienced”. She therefore teaches from the position of preparing participants for healing, instead of about the subject of healing.
Caroline will share research from her new book as well as provide personal guidance for healing that you can continue with on your own. Caroline will close the workshop with a group healing prayer.
Includes 3 nights accommodation and all meals.
If you book both this Caroline Myss event and James Finley: Seven Steps to Spiritual Healing before 14th November 2009 you will recieve a £115 discount on the combined events.Read More
