Yes, you read that right, we're releasing our 2009 demo boat fleet for sale starting Saturday, October 10th. Our email list and Facebook fans get first crack at them. Here's the breakdown:
What's on sale?
Our sale list is available on our gear blog at http://finandfeather.blogspot.com...
The entire 2009 demo line is on sale as well as some older models we've kept around for comparisons. All boats are sold as is and the prices reflect the condition of the boat, the material, and the retail value. Several of the boats haven't been paddled more than once and there are some real steals on there.
How does it work?
All of the demo boats will be available for sale starting Saturday morning. There are no holds or reserves, this is first come, first serve. We'll have an afternoon paddle on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at Sand Lake for those who would like to test paddle before buying. If you already know what you want, though, let me know and we'll get it over to the store on Saturday and ready to roll.
If you plan to paddle on Sunday, also please let me know which boats you're interested in so I can make sure to get them to the lake.
Why buy this weekend?
First, this has been widely asked about so boats may go quickly. Second, this weekend only we'll take an extra 5% off the sale price so we can get you in a boat and make way for next year's demos. We're only advertising this week to our email list and Facebook fans. Starting next week we'll advertise in store to the public.
What about new canoes and kayaks?
If you don't want to buy used there's a deal for you this weekend too. Friday through Sunday if you buy a new canoe or kayak, we'll apply up to 10% of the purchase price toward paddles, PFDs, or a Yakima roof-top system. This is for new boats only, and only for 10% of the purchase price of the boat itself.Read More
