January 31, 2009 Wow! Here it is....the end of another year and where did all the time go again. Seems to fly by each year. We had lots of fun out on the water in 2009 and want to take a second to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope the best for you in 2010....

This is the final Mosquito Lagoon fishing report for 2009. Despite some challenging weather during the month of December, the redfish, trout, and black drum were all willing to eat. With most of the mullet having gone south for the winter, shrimp and crabs become the main forage on the flats....

Most of my clients are from out of town and often have limited flexibility in their schedules so it’s always hard to call and cancel a trip due to weather. Mother Nature sends cold fronts to Florida during the winter with wind being the key factor. The last 2 weeks I had to pull the plug on 4 trips!...

Kona Hawaii fishing report – Dec. wrap-up , There has been some big blue marlin around lately and the spearfish run has started early but still no striped marlin to speak of. I’ve only heard of one caught recently. They should be here by now but we really haven’t had a good striped marlin run in years....

Here's a quick update before heading into the last week of 2009. We gone from calm weather to windy weather. With each condition, there has been a general lack of north current. A few sailfish are being caught, however, the best catches aboard Knot Nancy have been wit...h dolphin, kingfish, bonito, and some mutton snapper. Cory Reeves enjoyed the variety I mentioned above....
